New Horizons Day Habilitation Services provides stimulating and meaningful experiences for adults with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities. All services provide activities based on individuals' desires, needs and strengths. The focus is on the development of communication and motor skills through creative and therapeutic activities. Individuals use specialized communication devices to enhance their independence within the center and throughout the community.
One of the main goals of The Arc of Montgomery County’s program is to support community inclusion and provide stimulating experiences in the community for persons in the program. Habilitation workers provide training and assistance with personal care as needed.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30 am-3:30 pm.

Participants must apply to the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration for eligibility and funding approval.
