Tom Thomas
Vocational Services Employee
Tom Thomas began working with The Arc Montgomery County in 1998 and is one of many dedicated staff members. As a "floater" job coach, he plays a pivotal role within the Vocational Services Division, serving both individuals and business customers each day.
Tom acts as a substitute whenever a regular job coach is absent, which brings an extra challenge to the role. He must be knowledgeable about The Arc’s more than 25 commercial contracts, and be familiar with the 130 participants who work at these sites.
Tom is often recognized as a favorite job coach of both The Arc participants and customer site representatives. Participants know they will receive the support they are used to receiving, and because of Tom’s tremendous sense of humor and easygoing demeanor, they know they’ll have a pleasant day. Business customers are thrilled to see Tom because they know he’ll go above and beyond to make sure the job gets done.
Tom is one of the many caring staff members who ensures that Vocational Services Division provides excellent customer service to local businesses.
