Mary Callanan
Residential Services Volunteer
Mary Callanan has been a volunteer with The Arc Montgomery County since 2007. She works in the Residential Division with The Arc’s benefits coordinator to ensure medications are accurately delivered to residential sites.
Mary recently completed the significant and important project of cross-checking the pharmacy’s list of medications with The Arc’s list to ensure all medications are being delivered correctly. She also volunteers for the Residential Support Group on various projects and activities. Since starting with The Arc, Mary has volunteered over 1,000 hours of her time.
Mary is a retiree from the Federal government, where for 26 years she held a top secret clearance in supporting our country and worked for three presidents. In between her “presidential duties,” she also raised three children. Her oldest, Ann, lives in a home supported by The Arc Montgomery County’s Residential Services.
