Frank and Barbara Lee
Residential Services Participants
Siblings Frank and Barbara Lee were born with developmental disabilities and lived their entire lives with their parents in the same house in Kensington. When both of their parents died within a short period in 2009, Frank and Barbara lost their primary caregivers and needed to find a new home.
Working closely with the Lee family and the state Developmental Disabilities Administration, The Arc Montgomery County applied for residential services for Frank and Barbara. Together, they moved into a renovated condominium-apartment complex in Rockville.
Barbara continued working at the Public Service Training Academy and Frank secured employment at the Division of Parole and Probabation, a short walk from his home. Frank says of his new home “Bobby and I are happy here. The staff treat us with respect and we have a life that we love.” The Arc Montgomery County is proud to be part of Frank and Barbara Lee’s lives.
